Founded in 2001 in the south of France. We started in capital-markets risk and pricing; today we build and run AI systems on that same foundation.
Who builds it
Olivier Moreau, founder
École Polytechnique (X 88) — France's foremost engineering grande école. Thirty-five years across finance, software and running a business — three trades rarely found in the same person.
Finance. Ten years on the trading floors of Paribas and Commerzbank in Paris and London: commodity and energy options, then FX, then head of the swaps desk and the CDS desk. Then chief risk officer of an investment fund in London. Systems where a mistake shows up the same day, in real money.
Software. I have always built the tools as well as used them: a C++ financial library, a trading platform, then CTO of two financial platforms — bank asset-liability management, then tax-risk assessment. C++, C#, Java, Python, SQL, cloud. I still write code today.
Business. I founded NitroX Consulting in 2001. We work for banks, investment funds and insurers — modelling, risk audit, regulatory implementation. I have taught finance and risk at First Finance since 2010, and previously at EDHEC and SKEMA.
Today I design and operate AI systems — starting with NitroxBrain, our own assistant, in daily use. When you hand us a project, you talk to the person who builds it.
From trading floors to everyday AI
NitroX Consulting was founded in 2001 to solve hard, practical problems for banks and investment funds: pricing complex financial products and managing their risk, on real money, where a mistake shows up the same day — and building the software that made it possible.
Risk management, we learned, is earned in crisis situations. That instinct — for what can go wrong, and for building systems that are correct and auditable — is exactly what most technology projects are missing.
Today our trade is AI. We design, build and run assistants that do the work, automatic tasks and tools for finding answers — most visibly NitroxBrain, our own assistant, in daily use. We bring thirty-five years of high-stakes engineering rigour to a field that badly needs it.
We are deliberately small, EU-based, and data-resident by default. You work directly with the people who build your system — no account layer, no offshore hand-off.
